Industry Benchmarking and Performance Indicators

​BerryDunn’s Senior Living Benchmarking Portal consolidates the most current and comprehensive benchmarking information to give senior living facilities access to consistent and reliable measures. Using this data, you’ll be able to benchmark your facility, as well as bring forward trends from peer facilities, choosing which group comparisons you’re most interested in.

This database includes the most recently available information obtained from the Centers for Medicaid & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) public use files, including:

• Medicare cost reports for all Medicare-certified SNFs in the US required to submit a full utilization Medicare cost report;

• CMS SNF/NF provider enrollment file;

• CMS SNF/NF Quality Reporting Measures file for all certified providers;

• Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) file – SNF/NF provider self-reported data,

• Other sources.

Note:
1. HCRIS data is updated regularly, potentially resulting in historical data summary changes due to cost report audits, provider cost report amendments, and late filing submissions. Current year data may be incomplete - cost report filings are expected 5 months after fiscal year end.
2. BerryDunn removes data outliers.
